Talent Expo is launching an exciting new event that marries together New Faces (models) and New Fashion (up and coming fashion designers).
It is set to be an industry first, as 3 winning designers get to showcase their collections in a world class show fit for any fashion week! The models get maximum exposure, tons of experience and the industry gets a preview NOT of what’s hot right now…but what’s GOING to be hot tomorrow....
Talent Expo, ‘The World’s Largest Live Talent Fair and Showcase’ is a unique and interactive experience for all budding talent industry hopefuls and with this, organisers of the event are calling all new models and designers for this year’s ‘New Faces /New Fashion’ competition. The competition boasts a £1000 cash prize for the winning designer s and the chance to have their collection shown in a national advertising campaign.
The competition finale will feature 3 selected international designers and their collections in a runway show taking place at Talent Expo 2010. The designers will collectively showcase key pieces, using 30-40 new up and coming models sourced through top agencies and through various castings. The show itself will be brought together using innovative stage design, with the key objective being to incorporate and represent the designer’s collections.
Talent Expo Creative Director, Zuleyka Shahin said of the event, “New Faces/New Fashion is already generating a lot of interest amongst industry professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for budding designers to showcase their collections. Talent Expo is essentially about exposing new talent to the industry and we feel that the New Faces /New Fashion competition represents this notion.’ She went on to say…”This is also a great opportunity for the fashionistas out there to come along and check out the latest designs from the future of fashion. Fashion weeks seem to be drawing focus away from breakthrough designers and are often made up of the same designers each year. It is becoming noticeably difficult for new designers to get a foothold in any major international fashion week. New Faces/New Designers is about promoting raw, fresh talent.”
Designers who want to be considered for the show need to send an email to zuleyka@talentexpo.co.uk with the subject line ‘New Fashion’. You will then receive an application form, which will need to be sent back with a copy of your Look Book. This can be sent digitally or through the post.
